CJ and Lauren met at MediaTech Institute in Austin, Texas. It was there that they made a baby. No, not that kind of baby. The Sessions was born in April of 2009 after the two stumbled upon an old theater in the back of a coffee shop downtown. A shared love for music and admiration of the endless talent in their new city sparked an idea that has spiraled into a profession of passion.

Every aspect of production in The Sessions is developed by Lauren and CJ, providing artists throughout the country with a space that encourages creativity and gives the opportunity to connect intimately with audiences. He likes Phish and she loves Portishead, but they both agree The Sessions is pretty awesome. And not just ‘cause it’s their baby (well, maybe a little), but because they get to spend their days building dream showcases and hosting some of the most talented musicians in the country all on one stage.
